Our journey from Egypt to Jordan and Israel takes in some of the great sights of the ancient world. From the Great Pyramids to Abu Simbel and holy Mount Sinai to the ancient city of Petra - this adventure is full of impressive ancient monuments and historical treasures. Our final destination is icon-filled Jerusalem - where the fabrics of various great religions can be found intertwined in the narrow streets of the Old City. Along the way we travel on paths previously trodden by pharaohs, crusaders and kings from bygone eras.

While the Nile Valley can rightly claim to contain some of the most impressive ancient monuments in the world, Jordan also has its share of historical treasures. Petra is its masterpiece, once an important and powerful city on the old east-west caravan route, and Jerash is an outstanding ancient city.

This journey through Jordan and Israel covers some of the most important historical and biblical sights in the world. The desert of Wadi Rum formed backdrops to the great exploits of Moses and Lawrence of Arabia. Petra gives us a glimpse into the secret world of the Nabataean, whilst Jerash showcases the glories of the Roman Empire. Then there is Jerusalem - not only a holy city for Jews, Christians and Muslims, but a place of pilgrimage for travellers the world over.
